Heading home from an absolute fantastic weekend and what may be one of the best events I have ever had the opportunity to be a part of! My heart is full from all the wonderful people I met, time spent among friends, and so many amazing critters and beautiful plants to be seen!

Thank you to everyone who helped make the Southeast Reptile Expo the amazing show that it was. The organizers, the staff, the vendors, and everyone who attended. It would not have been what it was without any of you!

Oh Atlanta!!

Day one of Southeast Reptile Expo has been nothing short of amazing! Bob Vu and his team have done an incredible job to bring such a fantastic show here to the southeast! I’ve seen so many incredible creatures, beautiful plants, and have met so many wonderful people….but the best thing is…. I get to do it all again tommorrow!!! You can too!! Come on out from 10am-5pm at the Georgia international convention center and experience it all for yourself! (Just be sure to stop by and say hello when you do!)

Kicking it off finishing up some plushies for my next two weekends of shows, and then I’ll be sewing up some more new lovely Gayles I have started as well. This little lady here is one of my newest makes, isn’t she gorgeous?!

Time feels like it is just disappearing I’ve been on full out maker mode. I am so excited to be visiting Huntsville again this weekend for repticon (and absolutely ecstatic for the southeast reptile expo the following weekend here in Atlanta! ) It’s gonna be a wild start to the month but such a great time. I have a feeling it’s going to continue to blink by in a whirlwind! I hope to see some of you along the way, so be sure to stop by and say hi if you come on out to one or both of these shows!

It’s been a chaos week here at critter-iffic HQ!

Admittedly, my studio has been a bit of a mess most of this year as I’ve been so busy overall and the last reorganization just didn’t flow as I had hoped from a utilization standpoint, which only made it worse. After a broken shelf last week took out some storage space piling into the center of the room…we had to come up with a solution…and after the last couple days it’s getting there! I seriously missed my rainbow display wall I had prior to the last changeup, and while it won’t be coming back as it was, this new layout may be a happy medium and definitely a much needed improvement from the last. Has anyone else ever have a room layout they thought they would like but turned out disliking greatly?
I just wish the cube bags I have my yarn in these days to protect from dust/ dander/ my cats photographed better, but I do have a ton of older pictures to remember it by like this one of Betty here! 🐍💕

This week is going to be a quiet one as in the mix of all this I am still trying to prep what I can for my next two shows! (Huntsville repticon sept 7 &8 and then the southeast reptile expo Sept 14 & 15!!). I apologize for less often posts (trust me IG definitely notices that and reminds me when I slack on posting especially since I don’t really make reels), but sometimes social media has to take a back seat to the now. I am still checking in and answering messages, I just haven’t pulled any pictures over to post and I won’t have time to sort through them/ get new ones. Thank you for understanding!

Weekend is half over and this cutie found her new

Weekend is half over and this cutie found her new home today 🥰. Her eyes don’t really show it off here but they are a beautiful mother of pearl iridescence and I just know they are going to be adored! (These are the light counterpart to the eyes of my darker gecko from my last post and both were from an older @suncatchercrafteyes mystery box!) these eyes may be some of my favorites of hers. I also am finding that I really have a soft spot for dalmation cresties…perhaps Flapjack needs a spotted friend in the future 🤔😂

Heading back tommorrow for Repticon day two in Chattanooga at 10 am! I do hope to see you there! Find me located between @wickedlycaptivating & @justins.critters on the far wall when you walk in, and be sure to say Hi if you stop by 🥰
