With this pattern you will be able to create the sweetest huggable sugar glider lovey blanket! So grab your super bulky and worsted yarns, and your 7 & 5mm hooks and let’s get started!
Yarn needed
Super Bulky Yarn (6) I used Bernat Softee Chunky
• 200 yards main color
• 75 yards accent color
Worsted Yarn (6) I used Paintbox Simply Aran
• 10 yards Pink
• 15 yards Black
• about 1 yard white for eyes
Other Materials needed
• 7 & 5mm crochet hooks, I use Clover Amour Crochet Hooks
• Stuffing
• Yarn needle, stitch marks and scissors.
Gauge
• Finished item has an approx 14” body square when similar yarn and hook are used
Stitch Key
• Ch: Chain
• Sl St: Slip Stitch

• Sc: Single Crochet
• Sc Inc: Place 2 Sc Sts into the same stitch to increase
• Sc Dec: Sc 2 Sts together to decrease

• Hdc Dec: Hdc 2 Sts together to decrease

How to read this pattern
Example: Round 4: [Sc, Sc Inc, Sc] x 6. (24)
What that means: Single crochet into the next St, then place 2 Single crochet into the next stitch to increase, and Single crochet into the next stitch. Repeat this set of instructions within the [ ] 6 times around, ending with a count of 24 stitches total in round 4.

Stripe
• With your accent color yarn and 7mm hook
• Worked around a starting chain
• Ch x 11
Round 1: Hdc in 2nd Ch from hook, Hdc x 8, (Hdc x 2, Dc, Hdc x 2) in last Ch. Rotate to work along other side of the chain (do not turn). Hdc x 9. Sl St to first St to close. (23)
• FO, leave long tail.
• Sew to the top center of the head, with the wide edge just above the edge of round 16.
• Attach eye accents, one to each side of the stripe with the winged rows curved in towards the stripe.
• Sew eyes to the round bottom of the accents. Using your needle and white yarn scrap add a small stitch to each eye for an accent.
Nose
• With your pink yarn and 5mm hook

Ears (Make 2 in main, 2 in accent color)
• Worked in rows

Row 1: Hdc into 2nd CH from the hook, Hdc x 4, Ch x 1, turn. (5)
Row 2: Hdc Dec, Hdc, Hdc Dec, Ch x 1, turn. (3)

• FO, leave long tail.
• Arrange pieces so that the Hdc Dec corners are pointing down and the starting slip knot of row 1 is facing in towards the other ear.
• Stack the main color ear pieces on top of the accent color pieces.
• Using accent yarn whip St around to seam ear pieces together.
• Right ear: Start in the bottom corner and work up and to the left.
• Left ear: Start in the top Right St, and work to the left and down.
• Sew to head one on each side of the stripe with your main color facing forward.
• Stuff head, and using the yarn tail, whip stitch closed and then join to body lining the stripes up.

• FO, leave long tail.
• Sew the flat end to the edge of the tail part one and weave in accent color ends.
• Sew tail to bottom center of blanket body. Fold tail up onto back and secure the length of the tail to the body up to the accent color tip. Leave that loose if you wish.
