Come join our creative community crochet along event and create Crowley, a curious corgi puppy (or cuddly corgi Cerberus)! Have fun making friends while creating an awesome unique amigurumi of your own!
What is a crochet along?
A crochet along (CAL for short) is so much fun! At the surface, it is an event where a bunch of people get together and work through the same pattern at the same time! Looking deeper however, it can be whole lot more! A CAL can be an incredible experience, one that enables you to see many different versions of the same design. It also gives the opportunity for real time peer-to-peer assistance as you create, and that is some amazing interactive fun!
Have a problem? Stuck on a section? Simply ask in the crochet along chat and others are able to easily assist as all will be working on the same design! This is a great time and place to step outside your typical comfort zone and challenge your skill a little, while making friends and becoming part of a community of creative minds.
Crowley the Corgi Event Details!
The Crowley CAL will kick off in our community Discord on Jan 9th and run through Feb 6th! Join us in the creative community, even if you will be sitting out the crochet along event, so you can follow along and see all the different versions of the same amigurumi shown off with their unique spin! We love meeting new friends and sharing our creations.
You will need the Crowley the Corgi Cerberus Crochet pattern! You can purchase a copy at Etsy, Ravelry, Lovecrafts or Amigurumi.com! Crowley is an easy to intermediate level pattern. Read more about his pattern here!
Crowley uses worsted weight 4 yarn and a 4 mm hook
You will need 2 colors for the pattern (I used tan and white), pink or peach for the inner ears, and then a very small amount of 2 colors for the collar and spikes on it.
Crowley uses 15mm safety eyes and 18mm noses. You will need 2 eyes and a nose per head. You also will need stuffing, stitch marker, yarn needle and scissors. Pins will also come in handy!
As always, with any crochet pattern, the freedom of choosing yarns is part of the process. Have fun with your choices!
Special end of event bonus!
At the end of the event, every completed Crowley will count as an entry into a random drawing. As we wrap up the event we will be pulling a name or two at random and giving away a crochet pattern packs! At 10 unique participants and we will also be giving away a $25 gift card to Etsy, Amazon or Suncatcher Craft Eyes (winners choice!)
