Create a crochet cow that will fill hearts with udder love this Valentines Day!

Sporting wings and hearts, this Valentine’s Day cow is one of my earlier amigurumi patterns. Created back in 2017, Udder Love cow has captured many hearts. She even looks great without the wings for an everyday cow friend. I hope that you enjoy crocheting her.
Materials Needed for udder love cow
Worsted Weight Yarn (4)
• 100 yards white yarn (or whatever color you wish your cow to be!)
• 40 yards color 1 yarn (for spots, feet, hands, tail tip) I use black
• 50 yards color 2 yarn (for udder, inner ear, nose, outer wing) I use light pink
• 30 yards color 3 yarn (for inner wings, eye heart) I use magenta
• 10 yards horn color, I use tan
• 5 yards eye color, I use black
I love Paintbox Yarns, but feel free to use whatever weight 4 yarn you wish! If you use a larger or smaller weight yarn be sure to adjust hook size as needed.
Other Materials needed
• 4mm crochet hook, I use Clover Amour Crochet Hook: 4.0mm
• Polyestor Stuffing
• Yarn needle, stitch marks and scissors.
Gauge
4 Sc Sts across and 4 Sc rows = 4″.
Your cow will be approx 8″ tall if same yarn and hook is used.
Stitch Key
• Ch: Chain
• Sl St: Slip Stitch
• St (s): Stitch(es)
• Sc: Single Crochet
• Sc Inc: Place 2 Sc Sts into the same St to increase by 1
• Sc Dec: Sc the next 2 Sts together to decrease by 1
• SC3TOG: Single crochet the next 3 Sts together to decrease by 2
• Hdc: Half Double Crochet
• Dc: Double Crochet
• FLO: Crochet into the front loop only
• BLO: Crochet into the back loop only
• Sk: Skip St
• PUFF: Puff St
• MR: Magic Ring
• []: Repeat the Sts between these as many times as stated after.
• (): Place all Sts within these into the the same St
• FO: Fasten off with a Sl St to the first St made or use the invisible join method
How to read this pattern
Example: Round 4: [Sc, Sc Inc, Sc] x 6. (24)
What that means: Single crochet into the next St, then place 2 Single crochet into the next stitch to increase, and Single crochet into the next stitch. Repeat this set of instructions within the [ ] 6 times around, ending with a count of 24 stitches total in round 4.

• With black yarn and your needle, stitch on 2 nostrils and a smile.
• Sew heart to one side with the “bumps” on the outside
• Sew an eye inside the heart, and one about 3 Sts next to it above the nose. Using white yarn add
in an accent stitch to each eye.

• Place part 2 on top of part one and using the tail of part 1, whip stitch around to join *optional sew one ear with your color 1 yarn *
• Sew ears to the head and weave in any remaining ends.
